August 31, 2021 Visiting the Robinsons

We drove north in Maine to visit my friends Sanford and Nancy Robinson. We met over a decade ago when I took my mom on a Paula Deen cruise. They were one of  the couples on the cruise who shared our dinner table each night for the early seating.  They invited us to share a homemade meal at their home. We were so happy to accept the gracious invitation. We spent a lovely day with them. Sanford made an amazing meal and then he surprised me with a homemade quilt.

Sanford started making quilts during the long Maine winters when it was too cold to putter on his cars.  I am so lucky to be the recipient on one of his homemade quilts.

We stayed at a campground in Abbott, ME and while we were in the area we took in some of the sites.
