The Gourd Barn

In addition to staying at private campgrounds, state and federal parks, Phil and I joined Harvest Host. We get to stay at breweries, wineries, farms and points of interest and add all that is asked is that we spend at least $20 at the location.

We have stayed at a few locations but this is one of our favorites. Two former physical ed teachers bought this antique barn and have converted it into an art studio/antique store/dance hall. It’s a magical place that has enough space to house 8-9 RVs in the back field. The night we stayed there were 8 coaches there. We had a tour of the barn (that was named the best barn in Michigan in 2016) and then we spent the night talking to our fellow travelers.
