Repositioning Stop in Otter Tail, MN

Sometimes you have to make a one night stop at a place just to get you closer to the place you really want to be.  Or in this case we desperately needed a place to stay on the FRIDAY of 4th of July weekend and this was the best we could do.

Thumper Pond was not a bad place if you are a golfer or you like indoor water parks but it didn’t have any trees and we were basically parked in a sectioned field. Anything is bearable if you have air conditioning and cold drinks.  The golf course was beautiful and the golfers seemed to like it.  There were lots of trees lining the fairways but none in the campground section.

The next day we left for our 4th of July destination- Perham, MN - Golden Eagle RV Resort.
