Day 3 St. Louis- Anheuser-Busch Brewery

After visiting the Basilica we headed to the brewery.  Lots of fun bud signs to remind everyone to socially distance from other visitors.

We went on this tour because a couple we met at the Coors tour in Golden, Co.  told us this was the most beautiful tour.

Have to agree. This brewery and its buildings were built in the early 1900’s.  The families involved had money and means to build the facilities with artistic flair.  Now on the historical register, most of the buildings must be maintained as they were originally built. This ensures that the buildings will stay as they were - frozen in another time.

We visited with the local Clydesdales that are housed on this property. Most are boarded at Grant’s Farm ( yes that president whose house we visited a few days ago) or at their breeding farm in Arkansas.

We saw the beechwood that is used to brew the beer.

And then we got to try some.

Included this picture of the giant tank signed by the St. Louis Blue’s Stanley Cup winning team of 2019 for all my hockey friends.  Don’t think the Kings have signed a beer tank???
